Countdown for the next edition of the ICC T20 World Cup has begun.
The tournament will run from October 17 to November 14, 2021.
It will be the seventh edition of the tournament.
West Indies entered as defending champions, after winning the last edition in 2016.
This edition was originally scheduled to have been played in India, but because of the Covid-19 pandemic, BCCI and ICC decided to move the tournament to UAE and Oman.
BCCI will continue to host, but the match will not be played on Indian land.
This time, there were 16 teams that would be part of the tournament.
16 It has been divided into two groups.
The first group of 8 teams will play Round Robin suitable for trying and entering Super 12S.
The second group of 8 teams already exist at the Super 12S.
Along with the big team and main competitors, countries such as Ireland, Scotland, the Netherlands, Oman, Papua New Guinea etc.
will also be part of the tournament this time.
On Tuesday, ICC announced a schedule for the tournament.
For Indian and Pakistani fans, Big Marquee Clash has been scheduled for Sunday – October 24.
