By 2020, Twitter introduced the Clubhouse rival feature called Twitter spaces on the platform.
Twitter Spaces allows users to have audio conversations directly on the platform.
Anyone can join, listen, and speak in space on Twitter for iOS and Android.
Every Twitter user can start space regardless of the operating system.
All spaces are public like tweets, this means that they can be accessed by anyone.
They will automatically appear at the top of your home timeline, and each room has a link that can be shared publicly.
Because the space can be accessed by anyone, it is possible for people to listen to space without being registered as guests in space.
Who can join and speak in my space for now, all public spaces and anyone can join any space as a listener unless you have blocked the account.
If you make a room or speaker in the room, your followers will see it at the top of their timeline.
By default, your space will always be set to only people you invite to speak.
You can also modify the speaker permission after your space is created.
Recording space and how to do it Twitter recently began issuing updates that allow users to record space.
The host can record the spaces they make for replays.
When recording, the recording symbol will appear at the top to show that the room is being recorded by the host.
After the room ends, you will see how many people attend the room together with the link to be shared through tweets.
If you choose to record your space, after the room immediately ends, your recording will soon and be available to the public for anyone to listen to whenever they want.
You can always end the recording to make it no longer available in public on Twitter by deleting your recordings you will be available for 30 days after the room immediately ends.
Like the living space, Twitter will maintain an audio copy for 30 to 120 days after they end it to review violations of Twitter rules.
