New Delhi: Taliban is busy working on the contour of new governments in Afghanistan to formalize their grip on power.
The last time the Taliban came to power in the late 1990s, their rules were recognized by only three countries: Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and UAE.
However, this time, the group wants to throw a wider net globally to secure several forms of international legitimacy.
Read the economic tribulation of Alsowhy Afghanistan may be the biggest challenge of the Taliban, the Taliban may have kissed Afghanistan but the task that was quite located in front of them – managing a fragile and dependent economy and gaining access to the country’s money.
The combination of women’s rights and difficult talks about terror is an indication that the Taliban consciously tries to slide their hard lines in front of the world.
But what drives this picture makeover? Taliban need money to regulate and run Afghanistan, which has analyzed and three-fold because they were last in power two decades ago.
But the group did not have access to billions of dollars from the Central Bank of Afghanistan and the International Monetary Fund that would keep the country run during turbulent shocks.
The Taliban did not have an institutional structure to receive the money too.
