Exploring Muniya Exposing the Fate of Tiger Land

On the mission to Tiger Land Muniya (don’t get me wrong with large, interesting birds, eating seeds), which includes age and Butibori, last month to ascertain whether it can be declared a place of sanctuary, the trip to the offbeat land of the forest causes exploring how green wealth is looted by Thugs.
About 35-40 km from the city, the purpose of a visit to Muniya with Pioneer Vijay Ghuge, a retired lecturer who works to preserve the forest with community participation over the past two decades, is to test the potential of 96SQKM which has been declared conservation reserves (CR).
Mixed forests that have not been explored, which are shooting blocks during English times, are awarded with flora and fauna and wet wetlands.
When we dig deep into the forest, explore the remnants of old forests, we found that hidden treasures were being looted by Trespassers – with permission from the forestry department in several places – and by locals and Kathiyawadis who were seen illegally moved their herds hundreds of heads And lamb livestock for grasslands grazing in sensitive places.
Abadi water bodies and lakes in the ancient forest have become compaction of Fisherfolk, and there are emergency camps for Kathiyawadi meadow community deep in the forest with livestock and sheep that compete for food with herbivores in the latter nest.
The forest also has Dargah and the temples and Minds that have become a party place for women’s parties, who use these natural spots to drink and cook by collecting fallen wind trees and cutting the same branches of the same forest.
Encouraging along heavy forests and rough terrain is a breath.
In many patches, we have to go down from four-wheeled vehicles to find the path to move forward.
We were fortunate to have with our Van Majoor Wasudeo Waghade, who knew every inch of Muniya Land, but he also lost the way several times due to thick vegetation.
After a glimpse of rampant illegal activities in Muniya, Ghuge, who first initiated the CR proposal in 2007 and attached to his weapon until it was declared as a reserve in May 2021, was a disappointed man after the Whirlwind 76km forest tour.
“Considering the main threat to tiger soil, there is an urgent need to declare muniya wildlife sanctuary to increase the level of protection.
CR status will mean a lack of law and order, funds and goals stated clearly,” Ghuge feels.
This Deac’s visit to Muniya produced a good feed for the state council sub-committee for wildlife, who was checking the Tiger Land case to be told as a sanctuary.
Ghuge himself is an invitation to the committee, which has a strong argument for Holy.
“When the human population grows and resources become rare, CRS may not produce results.
Muniya Sanctuary will be a stepping stone between Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve and Umred-Karhandla-paoni wildlife reserve,” Ghuge said.
(Vijay Pendarkar is in a steadfast prey to call all that threatens the natural corridor)
