Kabul: An explosion in the East Afghanistan near the border with Pakistan on Monday killing nine children and injuring four, according to the office of a governor appointed by the Taliban.
A statement from the Governor’s office said the explosion occurred when a cart that sells food items hit an old mortar shell and no occurrence in the Lalopar district, in the province of East Nagarhar.
There are no other details available.
The province is the headquarters of Taliban rivals, Islamic countries, which have held several attacks that target new Afghanistan rulers since the Taliban took over the country in mid-August.
However, it has been operated in Afghanistan since 2014, conducting dozens of terrible attacks and most often targets the Shiite Muslim Minority Muslim.
