Exports jump 69.35percent May; trade deficit at $6.28bn

NEW DELHI: India’s exports climbed by 69.35 percent to $32.27 billion in May, driven by healthy growth in sectors like engineering, oil products and jewels and jewelry, even as trade deficit increased to $6.28 billion, according to government statistics released on Tuesday.
