New Delhi: The surge in Covid cases driven by omicron variants that spread quickly is not expected to interfere with the performance of units listed under the STPI scheme with a proven remote work protocol, according to the top officials.
The export value of software from the Indian unit software park technology is expected to be in more than Rs 5 Lakh Crore during TA22, a level that is almost the same or slightly higher than the previous year, the Director General of STPI said.
The safety protocol activated during the previous Covid wave has resulted in the adoption of an effective remote work model, and digital properties of work have allowed STPI units to maintain the continuity of services without interruption.
The export value of software from the unit listed under the STPI scheme is expected to be a little more than Rs 5 Lakh Crore during FY22, against nearly Rs 4.96 lakh crore at FY21, Kumar said.
“We will not lack the level achieved in FY21, given that the remote work model has matured and proven.
All provisions that make it possible for the work of the house already exist, and the online approval procedure is underway,” Kumar told PTI.
Therefore, the increase in omicron cases in the country is not expected to interfere with the performance or business of this software unit, he added.
