Extend loan moratorium by a year: Industries

Coimbatore: Industrial institutions in the district have ranged fund ministry Nirmala Sitharaman to guide banks to expand the moratorium in term loan from a second 1 year on June 30, 2022.
Together with the one-year moratorium span which was declared a year ago coming to a conclusion, they stated many industrial gamers, that are crippled from the increase in raw material cost, would not have the ability to pay back their phrase loans.
They composed into the finance minister on Thursday, saying that the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) were just recovering from the effects of the year lockdown and significantly struck by the unprecedented and abrupt increase in costs of raw materials from 70 percent.
They said the next tide of Covid-19 had affected them.
They said the expansion of moratorium period would stop 80 percent of MSMEs from getting non-performing assets (NPA).
V Ramesh Babu, president, Coimbatore District Small Industries Association, stated,”We’ve needed that the Centre to waive interest on all the loans, such as money credit facilities, to get the following 1 year (until March 31,2022).
Banks also have to unwind NPA standards and expand it until March 2022.
” The industrial institutions also have required an extra 20 percent loan under the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme according to their own working capital or money credit constraints from the banks and also non-banking fiscal institutions having a repayment period of five decades and 2 years lock-in interval to wave over the financial meltdown.
“The current upper limitation of Rs25 crore for loan restructuring has to be improved to Rs100 crore.
We would like the Covid stimulus package for those MSMEs to be expedited,” the correspondence read.
They also required releasing of excellent obligations from PSUs along with other government businesses, revising the GST to 2 slabs of 10 percent and 15 percent, discharging of impending GST and IT refunds to businesses, also nil GST for the following 2 years for fabricating air generators, and concentrators, pulse oximeter, PPE kit, and mask, face shield, goggles and the other pandemic associated gear.
