Bengaluru: The Karnataka government on Tuesday decided to extend the strict steps imposed to contain Covid cases that surged in the state until January 31 morning.
In his demands, Secretary of the Head of State P said Ravi Kumar said the detention measures would remain valid until 5am on January 31 for strict implementation by the Head of the BBMP Commissioner, Police Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Supervisor and other authorities.
This order was based on the decision taken at a meeting chaired by the head of the Bukavaraj Bommai Minister.
The order said that outside the Urban District of Bengaluru, Deputy Commissioner, consulting with the Ministry of Health and Education officers in the respective districts, considering the net as a unit, after assessing the prevalence of Covid-19 cases in schools, including housing schools, and universities in Each net can decide on closure or functions of any school or college.
The order said that all demonstrations, sitting demonstrations, protests were prohibited.
However, wedding functions allowed to involve no more than 200 people in open spaces and 100 people in closely closed places for the right Covid-19 behavior and guidelines issued by the state government.
Public transportation including Metro Rail must operate according to seating capacity.

While insisting on the behavior in accordance with Covid and the detention steps, the order said, “For social distance enforcement, the police commissioner or deputy commissioner can use the provisions of Part 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CRPC).” Everyone who violates these steps will be responsible for continuing the provisions of Part 5L to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, in addition to legal action under the L88 IPC section, and other applicable legal provisions, orders are read.
The steps were taken after the country reported 14,473 fresh covid cases and five deaths on Tuesday.
