‘Extraction of snake poisons in Bihar immediately’

Patna: The country will soon have a snake park for snake to-use extraction for use in the pharmaceutical industry, especially in the production of anti-poisons – the drug needed to treat snakebite victims.
The Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (EFCC) is ready to give permission to take poisons with its head office in Patna.
EFCC Neeraj Kumar Singh on Thursday told this newspaper that the department would immediately issue formal permits for requests made from someone who led the expert team to raise various poisonous snakes and harvest their poison using the latest techniques to use drugs.

The minister said Park and Venom’s extraction unit site would soon be decided.
The snake park, the first of its kind in the state, will be part of ecotourism which is promoted by the development of natural resources and the size of biodiversity conservation.

The team handling will capture this reptile alive from various regions and keep them in the park under the monitoring of the Ministry of Forestry to extract poisons according to government rules.
“Bihar is rich in biodiversity and snakes found in the forest, grasslands, water bodies, and old buildings that are not treated,” said Minister.

The snake park will only have toxic species and teams must ensure that the extraction of poisons does not violate the provisions of the wildlife law, “Neeraj said.

“Although there are no surveys from this reptile that have been made in recent decades, all parts of the country have snakes.
However, the North Bihar Forest area, especially the West Champaran, has it in large quantities, “he said.
