Gurgaon: The district health department has mapped villages that have several Covid-19 cases today.
People in these villages will be vaccinated aggressively to curb the spread of the virus if the third wave touches the region.
The Ministry of Health has chosen 100 villages in Gurgaon where his team will provide 100% of the population that meets their first dose requirements.
They have been chosen based on the number of reported Covid cases and the number of recipients who qualify.
On Friday, five Gurgaon villages gave at least one dose in all of their qualified populations for the Covid-19 vaccine.
Two other villages had previously reached 100% first dose target.
“Of the 100 villages, as many as 50 villages have 1,000 or not meet the recipient’s requirements, while the rest reported less than 50 cases of Covid.

With this, seven villages in Gurgaon have visited a population that qualifies with the first dose.
Hasanpur Sarpanch Virender Singh said he and his team visited every house in the village in the last 15 days to motivate people to be vaccinated.
“We went from home to home to overcome all worries about vaccines.
Advanced people to be inoculated on Friday and it is important that we make everyone who meets the requirements inoculated before other waves hit us,” he said.
Meanwhile, Gurgaon will prepare 41 government session sites on Saturday.
Only two sites will provide the first dose, while the rest only has a slot only for the second dose recipient.
On Friday, 4,935 people in the age group 18-44 and 2,265 in the 45-plus category were vaccinated in the city.
A total of 196 health staff and 340 frontline workers also took shots.
