Bengaluru: With the assembly selection of 2023 in the focus, the head of the new Karnataka minister, Basavaraj Bommai, is likely to choose five ministerial deputy ministers and induce six to eight new faces in his cabinet which can have a maximum of 34 members.
Minister Andhra Pradesh YS Jaganmohan Reddy is the first in this country to have a Jumbo Team from five representatives of CMS in 2019.
A senior BJP Privy official to discuss the formation of the Cabinet said Deputy CMS will be selected from five main social groups – SCS, STS, Vokaligas , Lingayats and OBC.
According to him, the Lingayat-Brahmana Party will soon have the appeal of PAN-Hinduism for all communities because they have struggled to cross the magical figure of 113 seats in the assembly poll since 2008.
By making the main minister of Basavaraj Bommai, the party’s center leadership has made the former CM BS Yediyurappa Happy lingayats.
Now, they want to ensure other communities – especially, the SC / SC group and the main among OBC – not ignored.
