Silverstone (United Kingdom): Lewis Hamilton revived the defense of the Formula One title by winning the British Grand Prix for the eighth time on Sunday even though the penalty was 10 seconds after he collided with Max Verstappen, dropping the championship leader from Ras.
Raus with a crowd of more than 140,000, Hamilton tried to overtappen in Copse Corner on the first lap instead sent the Red Bull Carreenening of the track and to the barrier.
Charles Leclerc won the lead but, despite adding 10 seconds to the pit stop, Mercedes Star Hamilton caught Ferrari and following the copse on the 52 race 52 lap.
Verstappen, meanwhile, was taken to the hospital “for further caution tests”, said Red Bull.
