Ghaziabad: Three family members – a businessman and two sons – shot dead in their two-story house by an unknown striker in Ghaziabad on Monday morning.
The fourth victim, the wife of a cloth trader, was also shot and very important.
The victims were identified as Riyazuddin alias Riyaz (70), Azharuddin (30) and Imraan (28).
Riyaz Fatima’s wife (65) was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Noida.
The police said Azharuddin Afsana’s wife, who was four months pregnant, was saved as the attacker gun did not function properly.
It hasn’t been ascertained how many attackers are involved in the crime.
While Afsana said there was only one person, a neighbor who rushed after hearing gunfire said they saw two or three escape.
Riyaz lives in Mohalle toli with his wife and six of his sons.
While Azharuddin and Imraan lived with the couple, their brothers Salimuddin, Alamuddin, Nizam and Riyat lived in the same area.

Riyaz is also used to run a cloth shop on the ground floor of his house.
Alamuddin, who lives in a close building, said he heard a gunshot of around 2.50 in the morning and immediately rushed to his father’s house.

After 15-20 minutes, Afsana opened the gate and I saw my father, mother and two younger siblings lying in a pool of blood.

The police said the attacker fired around 7-8 rounds – they first shot two bullets at Riyaz’s head and one on Fatima’s face.
When Azharuddin, Afsana and Imraan descended from the top floor, the attackers fired two bullets at Azharuddin and one on the head of Imraan.
Some other bullets hit the wall.
Oombrakash Singh, Sho of Loni Police Station, said when questioned, Afsana told them that someone came through the terrace and killed his family members.
“He said the attacker tried to kill him too but the gun was stuck.
When he tried to fix it, other Riyaz’s sons and neighbors started knocking on the door, forcing him to escape through the terrace,” said Singh.
The house terrace is at a height of 22-25 feet.
A senior officer said the police would see how the attackers entered the house through the terrace or managed to come out in the same way.
Alamuddin said Rs 25 lakh cash and gold 1 kg lost from almyirah.
Money and gold are saved for a wedding of one of Riyaz’s grandchildren, he added.
“Afsana said the attacker was relatives and lived in the same area, about 100 meters from their home.
It seems like a case of personal hostility between two people,” Sho said.
According to a senior police officer, Afsana also said that after the murder, the attacker managed to join the crowd and attended when his mother-in-law Fatima was taken to the hospital.

New complaints are registered at night, based on the FIR submitted under the IPC 396 section (Dakoitas and murder) and 397 (robbery or dakoity, with efforts to cause death or sadness) against five unknown people, said Sho Singh.
Post-Mortem of the deceased has been done and the report is awaited.
