NEW DELHI: Facebook India on Friday announced a new initiative — that the Facebook India Tech Scholars (FITS) programme — including law enforcement in the nation.
The publication programme intends to provide pupils from pick top law schools within the nation a platform for study and mentorship on subjects related to technology policy and law.

The very first variant, the FITS programme 2021-2022, will provide eight law students a chance to work with a study project together with top Indian thinktanks that will also expand mentorship help to the pupils.
It’ll Be offered to 4th and 5th year pupils in the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, the WB National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata, the National Law University, Delhi, along with the National Law University, Jodhpur.
“With rapid progress in engineering and the development of technology law and law from India, the program is intended to encourage pupils to come up with an independent voice on pressing subjects which will have an effect on future policy negotiations within this region,” the societal media giant said in a statement.
“We expect to enlarge the FITS programme to students in coming years,” it further.
The FITS programme 2021-2022 will visit that the Centre for Internet and Society, the Observer Research Foundation, the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace India, along with the Software Freedom Law Center engaging as coordinating associations.
Facebook can also be directed by an experienced and specialist Advisory Committee to the length of the programme.
