Facebook launches its first generation smart glasses

Facebook in partnership with Ray-tires has launched its first generation smart glasses.
Aim to offer a true augmented reality experience, glasses allow users to listen to music, receive calls and even capture photos or videos.
Smart glasses are called ray-tire stories.
Ray-tires: Priceray-tires are present at a price starting at $ 299 (around Rs 22,000).
Buyers will be able to choose from 20 frame / lens style combinations of ray-tire frames offering Wayfarer, round or meteor.
They are also available with polarized (starting at $ 329), transition lenses ($ 379) and recipes (the price varies).
Smart glasses will be available in 6 countries including the US, Britain, Canada, Italy, Ireland and Australia.
They can be purchased through Ray-Ban Select and Ray-ban.com stores.
Ray-tires: The specifications of the SmartBook glasses allow one capture of photos and videos (up to 30 seconds).
It is equipped with a double 5MP camera on the front of the frame.
The LED catch is on when the camera turns on to notify the people around photography or the recording occurs.
Users can only say “Hey Facebook, take photos [or video]” to click on a photo.
They can edit photos captured on Ray-tires using the Facebook View Companion application and share it with others.
Photos can be shared on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, Twitter, Tiktok, Snapchat, and other applications.
Smart glasses also have a Bluetooth audio array and a 3-microphone built-in to listen to media, music, and favorite podcasts from any application on smartphones.
Someone can also receive calls using Smart Glass.
Facebook says that Ray-tires are designed with privacy.
“We take steps to ensure the owner of the device – and the people around them – feel comfortable, safe, and informed”, he said.
