Taliban terrorists are now heading to Panjshir Valley, who have never been controlled by the Taliban and have become a resistance center.
Former Afghan government forces led by Ahmad Masood, son of Ahmad Mujahideen Commander Ahmad Shah Massoud and vice-president who was overthrown by Amarullah Saleh- had started resistance to the takeover of Afghan Islam in Panjshir Valley.

Ahmad Massoud was the last major leader of the National Majormsoud Front Resistance, who had vowed to fight the Taliban from Panjshir, who disabled the Soviet and Taliban forces in the 1980s and 1990s.
