Bhubaneswar: Given the real threat from the spread of omicrons, the capital city administration on Sunday establishes the guesthouse of 100 beds as an isolation facility for those infected with Covid variants.
It also asked the existing Covid hospital to increase the strength of the bed.
Authorities of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) also requested SCB Medical College and Hospital and Aswini to increase the strength of the bed and sensitive officials to ensure home isolation of covid patients infected with Omicron.
Cuttack, so far, has not created Omicron isolation facilities.
“We have read 100 bed insulation facilities for those infected with the covid virus omicron variant.
This is an isolation facility and not a hospital.
This is intended to separate only patients with Omicron.
In addition, the strength of the bed in Covid appointed hospitals will increase From 300 to 350 to start.
Hospitals have been asked to continue to prepare all the infrastructure and drugs needed to fight the effects of the virus, “said Sanjay Kumar Singh, Commissioner, Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
The capital is still wrestling with Daily Covid cases with infections between 50 and 100 which are reported every day.
Initial and fast preparation shows the administration wants to provide the best health facilities to the residents and they are from other districts.
Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) has asked the hospital to increase the strength of the bed of 250 available (200 in SCB and 50 in Aswini Hospital) up to 300 considering the concerns of omikron that is possible.
“The principle is the same for all cases.
Patients with mild symptoms will be asked to remain in home insulation and they will be under supervision.
Medium and fuse cases will require hospital care.
We send positive samples for genome sequencing every day to the institution.
Laboratory Life Sciences (ILS), “said Commissioner CMC Ananya Das.
