Jaipur: Under the attack from opposition parties, Minister Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot was issued on officials who were directed on Thursday to stop commercial banks from auctioning farmers farmers who could not pay for agricultural loans.
Going by Rajasthan Agricultural Credit Operation (Removal of Difficulties) of Act, Commercial Bank, which is under direct RBI control, carrying out attachments and auctions of agricultural land.
A statement issued by the office of the minister’s chairman said the country had released a cooperative bank agricultural loan and urged the center to release commercial bank agricultural loans through one-time setting settings.
The state government is also ready to offer its part in this effort, he added.
“Our government has issued a bill in the State Assembly which seeks to stop farming agricultural land auctions for up to five hectares.
But the bill has not become a law because the governor has not given him.
I am sad that such a situation arises because this law has not seen the light of the day,” said the head minister.
