Guwahati: Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has continued its biomethanas factory function, which was installed two years ago, who will be able to treat around five tons of organic waste.
GMC Commissioner Devasish Sharma said 800 electricity units would be produced from waste 5 tons per day and 450 kg manure.
The electricity produced will be used to operate the factory and street lights.
The factory was installed on August 2020 in Chatribari on the edge of Beel Borsola.
