Greater Noida: The 28-year-old engine operator, who works at the electronic giant factory in the Surajpur City area, died after his head was trapped in the engine while running it on Thursday, police officers said on Friday.
The initial investigation has designated the failure of the machine sensor operated by it.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Kishan Veer, a resident of Sambal District Uttar Pradesh.
“The accident occurred around 4pm, when Kishan Veer worked on the machine used to form the refrigerator door.
The power of around 600 Newton was used by the machine to form the refrigerator door,” said a senior officer from the Surajpur Police Station.
The officer added that while Kishan Veer worked with the engine, his head was trapped between it and he suffered an injury.
“He rushed to Kailash Hospital but gave up on his injury during treatment.
After that, a call was done on the police assistance number and a team sent to the hospital,” he said.
The deceased autopsy was carried out and the body was handed over to family members, who wanted to take it back to his home village to cremate.
“The initial investigation of the incident revealed the failure of the engine sensor.
However, regardless of death caused by negligence, no complaints raised by family members so far,” the officer said.
