Mumbai: Opposition leader and former Minister of Main Devendra Fadnivis will be a BJP face for the upcoming BMC selection.
The four-hour marathon meeting was held by Fadnivis at his resistal sagar residence with Mumbai Mumbai, MLA parliamentarians and senior party carriers.
Then, speaking to the media, BJP Mla Ashish Shelar said the party had its strategy for civilian elections and is now awaiting the announcement of the election date.
The meeting was attended by the Mumbai Party unit of President Mangal Prabhat Lodha, MPS Gopal Shetty and Manoj Box, and Mlas Mihir Kotecha, Yogesh Sagar, Atul Bhatkalkalkar and others.
“We will continue to highlight rampant corruption in BMC, Apathy Shiv Sena against Mumbaikars.
Lotus will bloom in BMC,” Shelar said, added that Fadnivis would become a party’s face for elections.
2017 civil elections are fought by BJP independently, and it secures 82 seats.
The polls were held when Fadnivis was CM.
Political observer said the power to help the party, but this time he faced challenges like those in the opposition.
