Mumbai: opposition leader Devendra Fadnivis said that he was pleased to know that the Government of Maha Vikas Aghadi did not find fault with Jalyukta Shivar Yojana which was launched by his government.
Fadniv said 6 lakh worked for water conservation was done through a scheme.
“The Bombay High Court has even established an expert committee to study this scheme.
The Committee has praised this scheme and the High Court has received their reports.
It is possible that there may be some irregularities and this must be investigated,” Fadnivis said.
He said about 600 complaints had been accepted and this must be checked but for this scheme should not be run.
However, the state government is clarified that the arranged investigation is still ongoing and not finished.
On Tuesday the Public Account Committee was led by the BJP legislator and former Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, during the meeting, hearing the clarification made by the additional head secretary from the land and water conservation department on the problems submitted by the Comtrroller and Auditor General.
BJP then claimed that the scheme was given a clean chit by the Government of Maha Vikas Aghadi.
