After a massive meeting in Karnal against the actions of the August 28 in the protesters, the agricultural organization lay down the siege to the Mini Secretariat there on Tuesday and refused to succumbed when the Haryana government spilled “raj-hath” (stubborn) and estimating their demands.
BKU leader (Charuni) Gurnam Singh Charuni announced an unlimited sit-in after talks between leaders of agricultural agitation and district government failed to break the deadlock.
A team of officials consisting of the Karnal IG Mamta Singh range, Karnal SP Ganga Ram Punia and Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav met with agricultural leaders again to persuade them to end their protests, but they would not retreat.
The farmers have suppressed immediate action against the former Karnal HR Ayush Sinha, who was seen in a video that was said to ask police personnel to destroy the protesters’ heads gathered there on August 28.
They also asked Rs 25 lakh in compensation and the government of work to the next Kin from Sushil Kajal farmers, who allegedly attacked protests and died after returning home.
Thousands of farmers from various parts of Haryana and Punjab have gathered in the new wheat market in Karnal on Tuesday morning in response to the call by Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) for Mahapachayat.
Most senior farmers leaders, including Rakesh Tikait, Charuni, Darshan Pal, Balbir Singh Rajewal, Singh Dalewal Jagjit, and Political Activists Yadav Yogendra, attended to lead farmers.
Around 11 in the morning, the Karnal Regency Government invited agricultural leaders to negotiations.
Three rounds of conversation were held in a range of about two hours, starting at 1pm, but there was no breakthrough.
Immediately after leaving a meeting, Tikait announced that farmers would march from the new wheat market to the Mini Secretariat.
SKM said in a later statement that the rejection of the Haryana government was even considering the request to suspend the former Karnal HR, IAS 2018 officer, angered farmers.
“We have reduced our requests from trimming the former HR only for their suspension, waiting for the investigation, but the state government even rejected this.
It really cannot be justified.
The attitude of the state government forces farmers to choose sustainable struggles,” said Yadav .
The farmers began their parade to the Mini Secretariat at 3:30 a.m., broke six barricades along the road.
While the police had intercepted several senior agricultural leaders as soon as they approached Namaste Chowk, they were left soon after.
The police maintained restraints, only using a water cannon in the challenging crowd.
“Farmers stand firm and firm; we stand upright behind protests and condemn the actions of the Haryana government,” SKM said.
Tikait tweeted on Tuesday that the meeting of the protesters would remain outside the Mini Secretariat and the clothes have been asked and the food for the long term.
“We will not stop until we get justice.” The district government has deployed around 40 police personnel companies to control the situation.
“With the patience and timely wisdom carried out by the District Administration, the agitators are allowed to match peacefully towards the Mini Secretariat,” said DC Yadav.
The Punjab Agreement Union, on the other hand, is awaiting the withdrawal of a registered case after protesting the farmer clashing with the police in Moga near the sad head of Sukhbir Singh Badal’s Rally.
If the administration does not do it on Wednesday, the trade union will launch the next agitation phase.
