Ludhiana: Police on Saturday booked a fake army officer because of cheating 27 youth lakh rupees with the pretext of helping them get a job in the army.
The defendant has been identified as Sarwan Singh, aka Colonel, aka Pradeep Singh, from Nurpur Bet.
Charan Singh from Phallewal said in his police complaint, “I met the defendant after he visited my acquaintance to get a driving permit.
He introduced himself as a military officer.
He told me that he helped young people get a job in the army and charged a fee for it.
He sued the RS 3.5 Lakh from me to help me get a job.
“The police said,” The defendant gave Charan and other youth shoes and shoes and took money for this.
On July 16, he called them to the Halwara army station from where, he said Will be taken to the military center on the bus.
“Charan Singh said,” When we reached the Station of the Halwara army, the defendant and his accomplices were not there.

The case has been registered under the 420 section (cheat and induce property delivery) and 406 (criminal violations of trust) from Kuhapa Palan India.
