‘Fake cops’ dupe Lady of Rs 2-L Golden bangles

MUMBAI: A lady has been tricked of her golden bangles values Rs 2.12 lakh purportedly by two guys posing as policemen at Mumbai’s Powai place on Wednesday. Rukhsana Shaikh, a resident of Ashok Nagar at Andheri (E), has been in her way to purchase grocery store when the two bike-borne guys approached her and introduced themselves as policemen. In her complaint, the girl stated,”The guys advised me three to four instances of theft had happened in the region because the morning and it was dangerous for her to use thick jewelry in people. They requested me store it in my purse. The accused explained since they must maintain an account of all of the jewelry, they assessed out the bangle and my handbag and put the bag back in the purse ” Meanwhile, the other guy approached the duo and handed his string into them, that was returned . Following that, the 2 guys sped off towards Marol, she alleged. “Shaikh got suspicious and checked her handbag and realised her bangles were lost. She advised her child about the episode who subsequently called the police charge room and acquired the situation enrolled,” said that the authorities. ” A group was formed to monitor the duo that are supposed to function as members of Irani group that’s involved in comparable situations,” a police officer said.
