Faridabad: Faridabad police on Friday damaged gangs between countries and arrested four members for allegedly deceiving people with the pretext of giving them a fake vacation package after posing as an employee.
Police said the defendant cheated more than 55 people in different states.
RS 35,000 cash, one post machine, computer, printer, 17 cellphones and 18 SIM cards obtained using fake IDs have recovered from their ownership, they said.
Accused of being arrested identified as Uttam Singh, initially from Bihar; Tushar from Rajasthan; Mohammad Mubin and Maz Mohammad, Native Uttar Pradesh.
The police also sealed four fake bank accounts they used RS 65 lakh transactions carried out in the past six months.
The defendant revealed that they had delayed 55 people, including 17 of Delhi-NCR, 15 in Uttar Pradesh, nine in Telangana, five in Haryana, three in Maharashtra and two in Gujarat.
“Allegations of targeted credit card holders after buying data from only dial.
They posed as bank representatives from customer service numbers through customized applications,” said Surender Sheoran, ACP (Crime), Faridabad.
The defendant will convince prospective targets to buy vacation packages using credit cards and deceive them from their balance so they will continue the transaction.
“We asked the defendant,” ACP said.
