Malda: The police have confiscated fake Indian currencies with a nominal value of RS 3 Lakh in the Malda District of West Bengal and arrested three people in this relationship, an officer said on Tuesday.
The false record confiscated was in the denomination of Rs 500.
Police post personnel Gopalganj under the jurisdiction of Kaekakak police station caught all three on Monday following a special tip-off, police officers said.
All the defendants were residents of Tolia subordin under the Charianiantapur Gram Panchayat area.
The police have initiated an investigation into this problem, he said.
