Hanumakonda: Police Intezargunj bridged two people for selling fake gold ornaments on Tuesday.
In addition to the fake chain (Gundla Mala), the police confiscated ₹ 10.45 lakh cash and from their ownership.
Speaking to the media, Tarun Joshi Police Commissioner said the duo from Karnataka – P Mohan Lal and Solanki Dharma – funded for luxurious life and alcoholism.
Mohan Lal, who was a trader, lost his income after the Pandemic Covid-19 hit.
He handled hands with Dharma to sell fake gold ornaments.
In October, both of them came to the city of Bengaluru.
They recently approached pesticide dealers in the Enumamula market area and introduced themselves as road contact workers.
The next day, they contacted the shopkeeper again and showed him Gundla Mala stated that they found it during road repairs.
They then asked him to arrange money for them while keeping the ornaments with him as collateral.
They said the money was for their sister’s wedding.
To cheat the dealer, they first gave him one gold ball from the chain to make sure it was real.
The shop owner, after confirming that the ball was indeed the original gold, handed ₹ 12 lakh to the duo.
However, once the ornaments were with him, when checking him knew it was fake.
Pesticide dealers then approach the Intezargunj police.
On Tuesday, the duo came to the Warangal train station.
When he saw them, the police took them to detention.
