Fake passport cases swim from 29 years 2019 to 3 in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: The case of criminals using a fake passport to fly out of the country has diminished at Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru.
While 29 examples of use of fake passports were detected in 2019, the number fell to 10 in 2020 and three years (until August 18), according to data with the KIA police station.

In December 2019, immigration officials in Kia held two people from Bangladesh on charges of using fake passports to travel abroad.
Probe revealed the passport was produced by harassment in Kolkata and the Duo had paid around RS 1 lakh each to get it.
Both were detained before going on a plane to Malaysia, where they got a job as an electrician.
Police officers said most cases of fake passports were detected in Kia related to passengers out.
