Nagpur: The State Education Department has claimed that nearly 70% of the RTE quota seats have been allocated even because the last date for reception has been extended until July 31.
Activists claim that many acceptings have occurred based on false documents and must be investigated.
Shahid Sharif, an Activist RTE, said, “The problem of parents who send evidence of false addresses and income certificates has become a regular feature of the RTE acceptance process.
What a fraud activity like that is that it seizes sincere students from taking the entrance ticket Schools are their rights.
“Recently Sharif tracked the address sent by parents who led the verification team to empty plots.
Sharif said, “We do document verification together with the Ministry of Education and School.
It helps them examine the application and ensure that only valid is processed.
This time, we found that one of the addresses mentioned in the application is not even home, but the plot is empty .
“Sharif said the incident was like it’s common, but still the surprise value increased with one or other cases every year.
He said, “These problems do not happen only with parents, but sometimes school too.
After we have a problem with the school that the length of the address is reflected in the online RTE database.
When we visited the school, we found it was a closed shop with Goats outside.
“Even though parents can be prosecuted for forging documents, there are no cases actually reaching the police.
A principal told TII that pursuing the problem was not worth the time and effort.
“If FIR is archived, it becomes a long process and one of our staff will be involved.
There will be days or weeks when he will sit outside the police station and will spend the same time when this problem goes to court.
So, we only warn parents after forgery has been detected and told him to attract the application.
