Faleiro TMC withdrew from Fray

Margao: TMC National Vice President, Luizinho Faleiro announced on Friday withdrawal as a party Fatorda candidate for February 14 assembly polls.
Briefing Reporter in front of the TMC Goa responsible for Mahua Moitra, Faleiro said that the Seula Vas, a lawyer, will now replace him as a candidate from Fatorda.
The TMC candidate from Benaulim Churchill Alemao was also present on that occasion.
Vas then submit a nomination.
Faleiro said he “handed the stick” to the VAS in accordance with the party’s vision for women’s empowerment and his decision to bring new and credible faces so that “dynamic youth is part of the decision-making process”.
Faleiro also said that the withdrawal of Fatorda would allow him to check it for all party candidates.
“I didn’t want to limit myself to a single chair so I asked for a party to give a ticket to a young woman,” he said.
Faleiro’s nomination as a TMC candidate in Fatorda was seen as a threat to the GFP President Vijai Sardesai when Faleiro is expected to eat into pieces of traditional congresses that are quite large from Fatorda.
