Bikaner: A Pakistani man, who was suspected of being in love with a Mumbai woman, was arrested by BSF near the international border after he managed to sneak into the Indian region by crossing the fence between Kailash and Sherpura Border Post in the Sriganganagar district at around 11pm.
He was handed over to Anupgarh police.
Intruders were identified as Mohammad Ahmar (22), a resident of 22 FW in the Bahawalpur Province Research Village in Pakistan.
The police have recovered several foreign currencies and cellphones from their ownership.
Sriganganagar SP Anand Sharma said Ahmar would be questioned by the Committee of the Interrogation with Security and Intelligence Institutions and would be pushed back if nothing was found suspicious.
During a preliminary investigation, Ahmar told security forces that he had touched a woman Mumbai through social media and fell in love.
They decided to get married but he failed to get a valid visa.
Heartbroken because he could not get a legal travel document, he decided to walk to the Indian border on the bus from his village to Bahawalpur and then crossed the zero line in the dark.
