Fall steady in the case of Covid stopped in post-diwali week

New Delhi: The steady decline in the Covid-19 case in India was stopped in the post-Diwali week ended Sunday, with a new infection count left almost the same as the calculation in the previous week.
India recorded 80,614 new Coronavirus cases in a week, only 73 on the back of the previous week 80,687, according to the Covid Toi database.
With the numbers Sunday has not arrived from three smaller states, the last difference is likely to be less.
While cases in Kerala and Tamil Nadu continue to fall, a number of states and the United States registers small amounts in number.
Among other things, the significant increase in Jammu & Kashmir, which recorded a 34% surge in cases with a weekly number rose to 1,104 from 827 in seven days earlier.
Other countries where the number of cases rose at the current week was Karnataka, which recorded a 17% increase, Maharashtra, Punjab, Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Rajasthan, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and others.
In most of these states, there are no signs of a sustainable surge and the amount remains low as a whole.
Rise in cases can be due to an increase in contact among people during the celebration period.
Weekly cases have declined without resting since August 30 – September 5.
In most weeks, falling higher than 10%, an important exception is the week after Dussehra (October 18-24), when a 1% decline has been recorded.
