Gurgaon: Residents of Home Udes in Sector 92 are very worried places.
This is because Power Discover DHBVN has warned the developer, Ramprastha Sare, that temporary electricity supply – given as a temporary arrangement – can be captured if it does not place the infrastructure needed in the community.
In the notice, the DHBVN sub-division officer (Farrukhnagar), said that the power supply was temporarily allocated for the housing community in 2016 but the builder had not completed the work of internal and external infrastructure 33 KV to date.
“This is also delivered that if you fail to complete the work of electricity infrastructure laying according to the ultimate burden of 33kv or failing to submit the progress of the implementation of your work, the DHVBN will not have the remaining options in addition to attracting partial load facilities permitted for you,” Notifications are read.
Notification has caused anxiety among people who are worried they can face a prolonged power outage if the supply is stopped.
“We have bought property from Builder.
Why do we have to face the impact when we pay electricity bills.
We are innocent,” said Yashesh Yadav, from Dwarka Expressway Rwa.
Ramprastha Sare is not the only developer who faces the draft discom.
Recently, DBVN stopped issuing a new electrical connection to the colony developed by 16 builders who had not yet paid the infrastructure fee of RS 317 Crore to the discom.
“We have sent notifications to all housing communities who have not started work on infrastructure and Rampartha Sare is one of them.
(However) we do not intend to cause discomfort for the population,” said SDO Farrukhnagar.
When contacted, a spokesman for DHBVN Sanjay Chugh said that when the builder acquired land to build infrastructure, they were asked to build their own power generation in accordance with the projected power load.
“However, many builders have the habit of negotiating with DHBVN for some temporary settings until their project is complete.
However, the temporary arrangement is used for years even after the project settlement,” he said.
