Gurugram: The cyber crime unit from the Faridabad police claimed to have damaged the work racket between countries which delayed many with the promises of profitable work, and arrested three men – two of Delhi and others from the district.
The police said the defendant would get information about job seekers from various online work portals.
Armed with data, they will call potential targets and attract them with a guarantee of work deals in the leading private sector company.
Those who have registered with the defendant, did not realize the evil intention of the defendant, was charged for application processing.
In the past year, around 30-35 lakh transactions have been found in bank accounts from the defendant opened with fake documents.
The defendant has been identified as Zulfikar and Asif, who was arrested from Nihal Vihar in Delhi on November 12, and Imran who was arrested in Faridabad a day later.
The three were later turned on in police custody for three days by a local court.
The arrest came into police complaints from one of their victims, Digvijay Singh, a resident of Faridabad.
During the interrogation, the three men claimed to have deceived a large number of job seekers from all over the country.
“They have revealed the location where they have committed a similar false job fraud.
We have told the police station concerned in these areas,” a police spokesman said.
The police also looked into the involvement of more people in the job racket.
“The probe turns on,” said the spokesman.
