Farm Adung: Talks have failed, protest to continue, Tikait said

New Delhi: Talks between the leaders of the agricultural agency and the Administration of Karnal Regency failed to break the deadlock, the leader of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) Rakesh Tikait informed on Wednesday.
“Sitting protests will continue, talks have failed,” said Tikait.
The demonstrators demanded action on charges of lathi police in Karnal on August 28.
Their main demand center around officers IAS Ayush Sinha was fixed on the ribbon that allegedly told the police to “divide the head” if the protesters crossed the barricade.
“The talks lasted for 3 hours but failed.
The officers were not ready to suspend Ayush Sinha and submit a case against him.
The officers got instructions from Chandigarh.
So we have decided to continue our protests here,” said Tikait told reporters.
He further said Thay farmers from above, Punjab, and other places will join protests in Karnal.
“Along with our protest in Delhi, this agitation will also continue until our demands are fulfilled.
Our request is that the officer was suspended,” he added.
Security has been estimated here on Monday, the day before Mahapachayat farmers, and central forces are deployed.
The Haryana government on Tuesday extended the temporary suspension of cellular internet and SMS services in Karnal Regency to curb “spread of inflammation and rumors” during protests.
Farmers have protested the national capital limits since November 26 last year against three new agricultural laws enacted.
The leaders of farmers and centers have held several rounds of talks but the deadlock remains.
