Coimbatore: More than 200 farmers from Annur and Mettupalayam Talang on Friday Petition District Collector GS Sameran to continue with the proposed Industrial Industrial Development Project project, which 3,800 hectares are identified in their region for acquisition.

“If my land is taken from me, I will lose my livelihood.

Most farmers are accompanied by their young men and daughters, who are graduates and wants to take agriculture.
They said they could modernize agriculture and become a successful farmer.
“We barely get a job.
Even if we get a job, the salary will be lacking.” J Rajkumar, a graduate of MSc computer science, said he used to help his parents with agricultural activities.
“Now, I want to take the farm as a full-time job.
We have 2.5 hectares and it is the only source of income for us.
We don’t want to lose the land.” Collector said all project proposals were only at the initial stage.
