Ghaziabad: A group of farmers from Mandola in Ghaziabad Loni dug the trench and sit on ‘Zameen Samadhi’ on Wednesday looking for upgraded compensation for the land of 2,614 acres obtained by the Uttar Pradesh housing council from them under the Mandola Vihar housing scheme.

In 2010, the top housing board had acquired 2,614 hectares of land of 1,000 farmers under the Mandola Vihar housing scheme and compensation paid at a level agreed upon with Rs 1,100 per square meter.
So far, the total compensation from RS 1,109 Crore has been paid to 94% of the 2013 farmers.
