New Delhi: The farmers on Saturday blocked the national and state highway after the ‘Lathicharged’ police protesters at Karnal Haryana.
The farmers protested the meeting on the upcoming city polls chaired by Minister of Manohar Minister Lal Khattar.
Some farmers suffered injuries in police action after that farmers gathered in large quantities on several toll plazas in the state.
Here are the latest developments: -Commissionate from Panchkula told me that Surajpur Toll Plaza (Jalan Raya Kalka-Zirakpur) has been blocked by protesting farmers.
“To protest baton in Haryana’s Karnal, all the way will be blocked until 5 pm in the state,” said the leader BKU Rakesh Tikait.
-The SKM, which is an organization of farmer associations that protested Central Agricultural Law, appealed to farmers to block the road to express their solidarity towards farmers’ actions in Karnal.
– State police make severe criticism of actions against farmers, and some roads are blocked in different places in protests.
The affected route includes Fatehabad-Chandigarh, Gohan-Panipat and Jalan Raya Jind-Patiala, and Ambala-Chandigarh and National Highway for Hisar-Chandigarh.
A spokesman for an extensive head of Randeep Singh Surjewala BJP on Saturday’s incident in Karnal said, “Today’s incident has hurt everyone in Haryana …” criticized BJP for “bloodshed”, Surjewala said the incident would not be easily forgotten.
