Coimbatore: Participants of many farmer institutions, trade unions and political parties hoisted black flags in their offices and homes in the district on Wednesday to demonstrate their solidarity with farmers partaking in New Delhi from the 3 contentious plantation laws. The day has been seen as a’Black Day’ to indicate the conclusion of six weeks of agitation from the plantation laws.Coimbatore MP PR Natarajan also hoisted a black flag in the front of his home at service of farmers.District secretariat member of CPM KS Kanagaraj stated,”The central administration must immediately draw the 3 plantation legislation which are contrary to the welfare of their farmers. It’s been six months because the farmers had begun yelling, however, the government hasn’t paid heed to their requirements. ”“We also need the central authorities to devote more money to the state authorities out of the PM Cares Fund to combat the outbreak,” he said. The Centre must concentrate on procuring/producing Covid offenses in huge amounts rather than infrastructure improvements that could wait for several weeks, he added.TNN
