Farmers Hold the ‘Sansad’ Draw ‘in Delhi

New Delhi: Nearly 200 Female Farmers from neighboring Delhi countries in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Haryana gathered in Jantar Mantar in the National Capital for ‘Sansad’ Draw ‘on Monday to continue agritation to controversial agricultural law.

“Today ‘Sansad’ will show off women’s strength.

“I want to submit a request for law guarantees for MSP because if we don’t have MSP, ordinary people will suffer,” he said.
Other participants, Nav Kiran, demanded withdrawal of important commodity actions (amendment), claiming it was “anti-women, anti-poor, and anti-general”.
Explain how the law is anti-women, he said, “We have seen how the price of cooking oil and gas cooking rises because of this law.
It will not allow women scope to save any money they can manage beforehand from their monthly fees.
“Essential commodities (amendments) acting to recognize food items such as cereals, pulses, oil seeds, vegetable oils, onions and potatoes by removing them from the list of important commodities.
Amendments to the Law of six and a half decades provide that stock detention limits to commodities will only be imposed in extraordinary circumstances such as national disasters, hunger with a surge in price, the government said in parliament last year.
The government said the amendment would increase investment in the agricultural sector and would also create more storage capacity to reduce the loss of post-harvest plants.
Gul Activists and Activists, who also attended the ‘Kisan Sansad’, said that with the actions of important commodities (amendments), the government had made the original law pass the 1955 “Opomong”.
“The new law will promote black stockpiling and marketing.
What is not understood by people is that this new law will not affect farmers but the middle class,” he said.
“Also, we are not interested in amendments made for laws that are not done through legal processes.
This law must be revoked,” he added.
‘Sois Sansad’ is part of farmer agitation of agricultural law.
As part of ‘Sansad’ Kisan ‘, farmers from protest sites on the Delhi border, where they have camped since November last year, have gathered in Mantar to increase their voices to agricultural laws while the Monsun Parliament session is underway.
Delhi Lt Anil Baijal Governor has given a special permission to demonstrate by a maximum of 200 farmers in Mantar, several meters from the Parliament Complex, until August 9.
