Nagpur: When the case of harvesting and livestock preparation is increasing in the state, the villagers live in the suburbs of Tiger, Maharashtra, Maharashtra reserves, given a lesson on how to get rid of problems.
The Satpuda Foundation, an NGO working with the community, in relation to Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dudhbardi (Kalmeshwar), and the Department of Animal Husbandry and business maker, Ramtek, has organized a one-day session for stakeholders in the buffer area in the area.
This session aims to provide information about livestock management, disease prevention, treatment and discuss issues such as shrinkage of livestock by wildlife.
Dr.
Ashwini Gadhade, Livestock Development Officer (LDO), Ramtek Panchayat Samiti, provided information about feeding the BUSCH animal kiosk.
Gadhade provides information about Cowshed construction and design and emphasizes the importance of cowshed cleaning regularly so that it can prevent disease and infection.
“By adopting feeding kiosks and building better cowshed, villagers can increase milk production, prevent disease and avoid the possibility of shrinkage of livestock by wildlife,” he said.
Dr.
Preeti Sirsat, LDO, Hiwara, talked about various diseases and symptoms.
He also provides information about low-cost home care that villagers can adopt in addition to medical assistance from government veterinarians.
Tushar Meshram (Agricultural Extension) and Amol Harnne (plant protection), both subject experts from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Dudhbardi, provide information about various types of animal feed that farmers can cultivate.
They provide solutions to lack of food.
Changing the climate and its impact on the availability of animal feed is also explained by the meshram.
He further explained that cultivation and animal feed management can allow villagers to increase milk production and help get better financial benefits.
Assistant Director of Satpuda Foundation Mandar Pingle explained the dangers of grazing livestock in the forest and wildlife habitat.
He stated that there was always resource upheaval such as water and animal feed among pets and wildlife.
“Increasing the interaction between domestic livestock and wild animals raises the spread of zoonosis, which is harmful to both.
Zoonotic disease can also affect the human population,” he said.
Pingle asked farmers to take advantage of the benefits of the compensation scheme implemented by the Maharashtra Forest Department and urged villagers to avoid malpractices such as poisoning or electrical opponents from revenge.
He also explained to the villagers how the village environmental development committee (VEDC) can promote the development of livestock through Dr.
Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Jan Vikas YOJNA and urges various departments to work with collaboration.
