Patiala: The day after Ropar police have ordered more than 50 farmers including union and sarpana village leaders under various parts of the IPC for allegedly attacking congressional workers and trying to stop Congress leaders Charanjit Singh Chanhi and Navjot Singh Sidhu in Chamkaur Sahib, a number of farmers.
On Monday protested against them.
The farmers protested Solkhian Toll Plaza in Ropar and claimed that congressional leaders were faced with one side they pretended to be a supporter of farmers while on the other hand they mistakenly involved farmers in false cases to thwart further.
In particular, some farmers under various trade unions on Saturday held a protest against the head of the newly elected PPCC Navjot Singh Sidhu for his statement in the context of farmers and said that “thirsty did not go to thirsty”.
The farmers on Saturday protested Sidhu by releasing black flags near Katalgarh Sahib Gurudwara in Chamkaur Sahib from the Ropar district where he and Channi had reached his heart.
However, the police in Chamkaur Sahib then recorded three leaders Kirti Kisan Morcha Ropar including the President of Jagmandeep Singh and the Block of President of Kulwant Singh Saini; Jagdeep Kaur, and Behrrampi Jimidaran Village Sarpanch Satnam Singh Sohi along with 45 unknown people under Section 283 (Act causes danger, obstruction or injury to the navigation public line), 341 (wrong restraint), 323 (riots), 148 (Rioting, Armed with deadly weapons) and 149 IPCs on complaints of a Dharampal police officer.
“Police complainant officials in FIR have claimed that they protested the farmers first block traffic near Gurudwara Sahib in Chamkaur Sahib and then attacked Congress workers and also tried to stop the cabinet of Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and PPCC Navjot Singh Sidhu in an illegitimate way.
clearly shows that the case has been registered under the political pressure of the leaders of Congress, especially Channi.
In fact, there are no farmers who commit violence but the leaders of the ruling party blame farmers for the complainant party workers “said Jagmandeep Singh, a farmer who has been named in FIR , He added, “We held a protest at Solchhiyan Toll Plaza on Monday for more than three hours against Navjot Singh Sidhu and Chararjit Channi and raised protests after police senior officials assured us to cancel it in their way.
Every time they will come to the villages to demand a voice “.
Sarpanch Satnam Singh Sohi who was also mentioned in the FIR said, “I am the only one in Chamkaur Sahib named in Fir.
We only ignore the black flag against Sidhu who had mocked farmers on the installation day as the PPCC head.
This shows, the Congress leaders are faced with double .
They pretend to be a pro-farmer but in fact they want our agitation on the Delhi border to slip.
They want the participation of farmers to shift from the Delhi border with their own political meetings during elections close to elections.
Farmers will teach lessons to these leaders “.
Channi who was also a legislator from Chamkaur Sahib on Monday tweeted that he had written to the police to cancel the first farmer because they did not want action against them.
In his tweet he said that they (he and his party leaders and workers) faced an attack that threatened the life when he left the Gurudwara Sahib in Chamkaur Sahib after the police himself had registered the case.
He said that he and his party workers also did not provide a written complaint to the police and even they did not want action to the attackers, therefore FIR must be canceled.
SSP Ropar, Akhil Chaudhary said, “We have not received a written complaint from a congressional leader.
There is no political pressure on us.
This case was registered by the police because the protesters had disturbed traffic”.
