New Delhi: United Sikhs, an advocacy organization affiliated with the United Nations, has been placed by Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), an umbrella organization of 32 farming agencies leading protests at the New Delhi border.
SKM has praised United Sikh to “protect civil and human rights to protest farmers, and also give them legal assistance”.
Thanking United Sikhs, Prem Legal Panel Singh Bhangu held SKM, said that United Sikh had provided great assistance to SKM since November 2020 when protests began at the Delhi border.
“Since then United Sikh sits here and provides every help to Morcha.
I hope in the future too, when there will be a need in court, when the sheets are filed against farmers, United Sikh will be part of the SKM Law team,” Bhangu added.
SKM Convener held a meeting with United Director Sikh Parvinder Singh at the organization’s camp office established on the Morcha website on the Delhi border last week.

In addition to legal assistance, United Sikh, an unformed international organization (NGO), has provided food and medical assistance to the farmers who protested, which seek the revocation of three agricultural laws which was passed by the Indian government as “anti-piasantry” on September 2020 .
