Farmers protest the acquisition of land for open universities in Patiala

PATIALA: Agricultural activist belonging to Bhartiya Kisan Union (ETTA Ugrahan) along with residents of Taruda Village Kalan in Patiala on Tuesday protested the acquisition of land intended to be acquired for the university of universe Teacher Nanak.
They claim that the acquired land for universities is mostly worked on by small farmers and does not have land that has no choice but to do agriculture and get livelihoods.
Farmers and villagers claim that the village consists of 100 hectares under Shamlat, or land together, where 42 hectares are acquired for the university.
