Farmers see Confidence from biofloc fish farming

Thiruvananthapuram: Biofloc fish farming, that has established trends in the pisciculture business, has begun gaining popularity amongst the rural farmers in the area.
M S Rafi, a shield member of Madavoor panchayat along with also a farmer, has established biofloc fish cultivation in relation to the Janakeeya Matsyakrishi job of their state authorities.
The biofloc farming was installed on 10 pennies.
The rewarding process of fish farming has been practised in four different tanks that will be of four diameter dimensions.
By minding 1,000 fishes within a tank, Rafi rears a total of 4,000 genetically improved farmed (GIFT) tilapia fish.
According to him, the tradition span of farming is just six months.
“After a while, we hope to harvest fish weighing 400-500g each.
Likely, we’ll be promoting the return from the neighborhood marketplace,” said Rafi.
“Apart from the family service, officials of the fisheries department supply fundamental regulations to be followed at the farming,” said Rafi.
“As it needs less water, feed and land, Biofloc farming technologies is the smartest choice for individuals aiming at industrial fish farming,” he further added.
Biofloc farming method, encouraged from the fisheries division, is deemed eco-friendly and sustainable.
Largely in aquaculture, the farmers find it hard to meet specific expensive things, for example, access to soil, water and high quality feeding.
Biofloc farming presents solutions to each of these problems confronted by most farmers.
The farming process, that facilitates recycling and recycling of nutrition from the culture medium, is gained from the zero or limited water market.
Most of all, the system lowers the use of feed and the price of conventional feed.
