A group of farmers who protested the Central Agriculture Law on Saturday forced five cinema rooms at Hoshiarpur, Punjab, to stop installing Akshay Kumar-Starrer ‘Soororiavanshi’.
Some of them tore the film poster put up outside the theater, said they were against the actor because they did not support their protest.
Bharti’s activist Kisan Union (Kadian), led by the President of the Swan Dhugga clothing district, held a demonstration and protest march from the local Singh Singh Singh Park to Sinema Swaran against film screening.

They forced the authority of the cinema hall to stop managing the film and condemned actors because they did not speak in supporting their protests
The protesters added that they would not let the film screening until the agricultural law was revoked.
Hundreds of farmers camping on the border of Delhi since November last year demanded that the government revoke the laws of three Agri Laws – farmers to produce trade and facilitation (promotion and facilitation), 2020; Farmer Agreement (Empowerment and Protection) on the Price Guarantee Act and Agriculture, 2020; and important commodity (amendment), 2020.

They claimed that this law would leave them at the mercy of the corporation.
They also demand new laws to guarantee minimum support prices (MSP) for their plants.
The center, which has held 11 rounds of talks with farmers to break the deadlock, has stated that new laws are pro-farmers.
