Farmers throw products on the road

Vijayapura: Farmers hold Dharna by throwing vegetables on the road in the Godavari Hotel area in the city on Sunday, said that the police refused to let them sell their products on the market because of their hours of night in terms of their business in accordance with government regulations, but the police insisted that they were can only sell in stores or vehicles.
Many farmers, including women, were annoyed by interference and threw their products on the road, told the police to take it and take them home.
They also expressed their displeasure with state and central administration.
The police escaped from the scene because tension increased.
While farmers held Dharna to the afternoon, more police personnel were sent.
When contacted, HD Police Supervisor Anand Kumar said, “We do not stop farmers from selling vegetables.
Sunday is a weekly market day in Vijayapura.
Because there are severe crowds, our personnel insisted that farmers and maintain social distance and follow Covid guidelines.
Meanwhile, Angry farmers dumped vegetables on the road.
However, we called them afterwards and persuaded them to follow the rules.
As a humanitarian signal, we also provide compensation to farmers who suffer losses as a result of removing vegetables on the road.
