Farmers to leave the gate on December 15

Ghaziabad: Farmers will empty the protest site upward gate on December 15, said Rakesh Tikait, leader Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) who has pioneered agitation at the Ghazipur border over the past year.
On Saturday, farmers will hold a number of cultural programs on the site to recognize the efforts of the protesters, which implanted cold winter winds, hot sun and rainy season rain to remain more than a year.
While Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) will observe the “VIJAY DIES”, BKI has a series of lined events.
“The gate above will live for the last time, before we pack and leave.
However, it has been witnessed for the important year of protest and our struggle,” said Jagtar Singh Bajwa, one of the farmers camping at the Ghazipur border since last year.
Asked about the events planned for Saturday, he said, “The programs will begin at around 11 in the morning and continue until late at night.
BKU will respect all farmers who participate in protests.
There will be Havan too.” Tikait, who will also attend Programs, have a busy schedule for the next few days.
“On Saturday, we will extend our gratitude to everything standing behind us and helping us see through this agitation.” However, Tikait will leave for Cairana on December 12, followed by a trip to Amritsar the following day.
He will return to Haryana on December 14.
“Finally, on December 15, we will officially empty the protest site at the gate,” he said.
The part of the farmer from the nearest area has begun to pack.
Gurnam Singh Agra, who has managed Langar through protests, leaving on Friday night.
Previously on that day, he said, “For the past year, we have to arrange many things.
Gas cylinders, stoves, food food …
On the one hand, I am happy to return home.
But I am also sad to bid goodbye to all Other farmers who helped me on Langar.
“It was indeed a mixed feeling for almost everyone.
“I know the protest is over and we have to empty this place.
But see the number of friends we made.
This is indeed a second home for us,” Jarnail Singh said from Pilibhit.
A few meters away, Ranjeet Singh from Haridwar nodded in agreement.
“Over the past few months, we live in the same tent,” said Ranjeet, who had exchanged telephone numbers with jarnail and promised to visit each other regularly.
“But considering our age, I don’t know how big it will happen.
This is the last main protest where we participated,” he added.
An India National Highway Authority team returned to action.
This checks a portion of the Delhi-Meerut toll road that has been occupied by farmers for the past year.
“To start, we send a team to install the camera in DME.
We will carry out other works such as and when the site is emptied completely,” said an NHAI official.
